Gil Sharon received his BS and PhD degrees from the University of Maryland in mechanical engineering. His research focus was mechanical reliability of electronic systems and components. His doctoral research included solder reliability, MEMS structures characterization, embedded components failure analysis and particle beam accelerator mechanical fatigue. Gil works at Amkor technology in the Advanced Product Development group as a senior engineer. His current work explores chip-package interaction.
