MEng. Cybersecurity 2016

Job title:
Project Manager
K-12 Public Education
Degree Program:
MEng.
Year Graduated:
2016
Background Information:

I have 30 years of professional experience primarily in software engineering and project management. My career spans employment in Fortune 200 corporations and K-12 public education.

Why Maryland:
The Engineering Professional Masters Program at UMD College Park is structured to accommodate the needs of full-time working professionals while still providing the classroom experience absent from virtual programs. Through DETS, I was able to fulfill the degree requirements and receive the lecture hall experience without leaving the northeastern region where I work and live. The curriculum of the PMCY program provided theoretical and practical experience in the academic disciplines of Cybersecurity from intellectual, scientific and engineering perspectives. I choose Maryland because the curriculum challenged me and appealed to the life-long learner in me. I made the State of Maryland my home long ago and I wanted to add The University of Maryland to my life's achievements.
