Background Information: 

As a Senior Engineer at Arup, Kelvin leads the fire engineering team in the Beijing office.  His role is to develop their fire design efforts in northern China.  His work includes the fire safety design of mega-structures like the 500m super high rise or the CCTV in Beijing.  Kelvin has traveled all over the world as a Fire Protection Engineer and snapped a picture for us of Masdar City (UAE) construction.  Masdar City is situated 17km from downtown Abu Dhabi and is aspiring to be one of the most sustainable cities in the world and will cover an area of approximately 6km2 Masdar City will integrate a full range of renewable, sustainable, and safety technologies across a living and working community.

We asked Kelvin about his experience taking his entire degree program online at Maryland, he responded "the courses were well planned, the academic quality and technology was good and allowed me to take classes after work and on weekends, no matter where I traveled."  "The program has high quality faculty members delivering the courses with a great reputation in industry."
