Engineering Manager for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

Fire Protection
Credentials:
MEng. Fire Protection Engineering '12
Background Information:

As a Facility Safety Enhancements Manager for the "happiest place on earth", you can imagine the importance of understanding life safety requirements for building design, sustainment, and operations.  David said "obtaining a Master Degree in Fire Protection Engineering helped me to gain required knowledge in these systems and how they work together to provide for the safety of building occupants in case of emergency." When asked why Maryland, he responded "the Faculty has Class A credentials and comes well known in the fire protection industry.  It was nice to have classes with instructors that establish the standards for the industry."  We're glad that David have also been able to apply his course content at work - "modeling tools have been useful and crowd behavior discussions have been well applied."  Just think how much he has to deal with crowds.
